Two French mountaineers descend one of the steepest slopes ever skied in the Alps. Symon Welfringer and Xavier Cailhol descended the north face of the Pointe de l'Épéna in the Vanoise massif.

The two climbers offered the highest difficulty rating in the world for this slope. To date, there are only two similar slopes with the same level of difficulty that have been skied: one in the. Alps, in the Aravis massif, and another in Norway.
