Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was buried today (Friday) in Moscow under heavy security by the authorities. Fearing a show of support for Putin's opponent, the authorities have deployed barriers around the church and the cemetery where he will be buried.

Navalny's supporters, who claim that he was assassinated on the orders of the Russian president, called on those who cannot attend the ceremony to gather at central sites in places of residence. The Kremlin denies that it is involved in anything related to the funeral arrangements for Navalny.
