Four people were killed and at least five injured after a stabbing attack by a man at different locations in Rockford on Wednesday. Among those killed were a 15-year-old girl, a 63- year-old woman and two men aged 49 and 22.
Police in the city located about 150 km northwest of Chicago said in a statement. The press release does not mention any possible motive at this stage. The suspect has been taken into custody and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
