Up to 30 centimeters: Where it's supposed to snow a lot this weekend. A massive snow avalanche is imminent.
The southern part of the country is particularly affected. However, the snow forecast for Germany is no comparison to that for its southeastern neighboring countries. For example, in the Carnic and Julian Alps, which lie between Austria and Italy or Italy and Slovenia, there are said to be fresh snow amounts of up to one meter. There is expected to be up to 30 cm of fresh snow in the Alps.
