93.28 percent of the employees at Ford-Werke Saarlouis voted for the acceptance of the social collective agreement. Agreement includes continued employment of 1,000 Ford employees until the end of 2032.

End of production of the Ford Focus, originally planned for May 2025, is to be postponed by half a year. The agreement is “certainly unique in Saarland and in the whole of Germany in its entirety of regulations” said the first representative of IG Metall Völklingen.
