US company wants to be the first to mine raw materials on the moon. Helium-3 is scarce on Earth but is abundant on the Moon.

Interlune plans to conduct an exploratory mission as early as early 2026, flying the harvester aboard a commercial rocket. China has also expressed interest in extracting other resources, including helium-3, which it says was contained in a sample it brought back from the moon in a rocket and will be used in a quantum computing system.
