US military says it intercepted weapons from Iran destined for Yemen. According to the United States, this shipment of weapons was intended for the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Since mid-November, the Houthis have increased attacks against ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden that they consider linked to Israel. “This is yet another example of Iran’s malign activities in the region,” said Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, Centcom commander. The American fleet and cargo ships are regularly attacked in theRed Sea.
