Kamala Harris is the first woman to hold the office of vice-president of the United States. The first Black (her father is Jamaican) and first person of Asian origin (her mother was born in India) did not win American hearts.

Her approval rate, of only 36%, even lower than that of Biden, explains why the White House hesitated to highlight her. The flow was difficult between him and his 59-year-old running mate, twenty-two years younger than him. Between them, there has long been more than a generation gap.
