Biden had already announced that he would respond to that attack. The U.S. blamed a drone operated by militants with the support of Iran for the attack on a US facility in Jordan, along the Syrian border, that killed three soldiers and injured 40 others. The United States has approved plans for multiple attacks against multiple targets in Iraq and Syria.
