The young driver, who was not driving fast at the time of the incident according to initial information, was unable to avoid it or brake in time. The vehicle collided head-on with the child who then fell heavily onto the sidewalk. The little boy was apparently unconscious when emergency services and police arrived at the scene of the tragedy. After providing first aid on site, the Samu medical team, mobilized with a fire crew, transported the victim to Necker hospital in Paris as an absolute emergency. The vital prognosis of the little boy, who lives in the neighborhood, is then seriously compromised.
