In Seine-Maritime, Arnaud Crétot has installed a solar oven to cook his bread. The oven uses a wall of mirrors to direct the sun's rays to a stainless steel enclosure.

The cost of the oven is 5.50 € per kilo of bread, or 6.50 for 200 grams of cereals. "Solar energy is still the energy that powers all ecosystems," says Cretot. "If humans aren't able to fuel their little activities with that, it's either a lack of wisdom or intelligence," he says.
