The killer whales have to take a breath every 15 minutes to breathe. Authorities have to leave the animals to their fate. A similar incident is said to have occurred in 2005, in which killer whales died. Orcas sometimes come very close to smaller ships, so they have to come to the surface of the water about every 15 minute to Breathe.
