Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, visiting Paris this Thursday April 4, offered boxing gloves to Emmanuel Macron. Last March, the President of the Republic was immortalized by his official photographer, Soazig de la Moissonnière, practicing boxing.
The photos have since gone around the world. It was the first bilateral visit by an Austrian chancellor to Paris since that of conservative Sebastian Kurz in 2018. In photos, we see the leaders posing all smiles, the famous red gloves in their hands, Emmanuel Macron wearing one of them.
