CVS and Walgreens will begin selling the abortion pill mifepristone. The drug has been approved by the FDA for more than 20 years.

The Supreme Court is set to rule on the drug's legality in March. The pill is used to terminate pregnancies. It is also used as a preventative measure for miscarriages and stillbirths in the U.S. The FDA says the pill is safe and effective for pregnant women and their unborn children. It was approved for use in the United States in 2000, but was not widely available.
