Wallflower, also called ravenelle wallflower, is a plant that is generous, luminous and fragrant. It illuminates the gardens with its beautiful early flowering from March until June.

The wallflower is not quite a biennial plant, nor a perennial for that matter. It is more of an ephemeral perennial because, year after year, its flowering diminishes and its stems become woody until they take on the appearance of branches. It adapts easily to all types of soil, particularly if it is deep and well drained.
