The US and UK have jointly struck up to 36 targets linked to the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen. This is the third time that both countries have coordinated to attack the Houthi militia, backed by Iran.

The Syrian and Iraqi governments have condemned the US bombings, which have killed at least 18 and 16 people in each country, and have warned of an escalation of the conflict. The US House of Representatives will vote next week on an aid package to Israel worth $17.6 billion unrelated to the planned aid to Ukraine.
