Israeli army confirms airstrikes in eastern Lebanon. Strikes were in retaliation for a missile strike against a Hermes-450 drone.
The drone was shot down over southern Lebanon, in the Iqlim al-Touffah region. At least 280 people, mostly Hezbollah fighters, as well as militants from other allied groups and 44 civilians, have been killed in more than four months of conflict. On the Israeli side, ten soldiers and six civilians were killed, according to the army.. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned on Sunday that a possible truce in fighting with Hamas in the Gaza Strip would not undermine Israel's "goal" of pushing Hezbollah from its northern border.
