Ukraine is pursuing an alternative strategy of deep strikes to wear down its adversary. Crimea constitutes the main target of this strategy of attrition.
Since the start of the conflict, the Ukrainian general staff believes that the “ center of gravity ” of the war is located in Crimea. The timing is critical. Ukraine must take the time to regenerate its forces and for another phase to begin in this war which has already lasted for almost two years. The “ tactical blockade” on the front line is paralyzing the Ukrainian army.
