Ukrainian intelligence services accuse Russian forces of using American billionaire Elon Musk's Starlink network. This network was previously used only by Ukrainian troops.
Starlink has a network of more than 2,000 small satellites in low orbit above the earth. Terrestrial terminals are connected to routers which make it possible to generate wifi and therefore Internet access. If the network is blocked in Russia, Russian troops in Ukraine can potentially gain access to it. 25,000 Starlink terminals have been deployed in Ukraine since the start of the war.
