Warning strikes at several German airports have led to numerous flight cancellations since Thursday morning. Lufthansa wants to fly 10 to 20 percent of its original flight schedule during the warning strike.

Deutsche Bahn's passenger train drivers have been on strike for 35 hours. At Frankfurt Airport, no passengers can check in at the airport because security checks are also on strike. At Cologne/Bonn, freight traffic in particular will be hit hard; passenger flights will not be affected. According to the Verdi union, around 500 of around 800 flights should be canceled on Thursday.
