The Mare Jonio, the vessel of the NGO Mediterannea which was the target of gunfire from the Libyan coast guard while operating in the Libyan SAR area, has instead arrived in Pozzallo. The rescued migrants "are in shock, some show signs of torture and one man was hit with the butt of a rifle", explains Luca Casarini, head of mission of Mediterranea.
