Spelling was honored by the Paris Book Festival, with 3,000 participants. 100 days before the opening ceremony, the festival is organizing the Grande Dictée des Jeux.
Driven by “a mixture of nostalgia and challenge”, there are 3,00 people taking dictations. The participants are told that everyone will correct themselves, with a green pen please. The author Agnès Martin-Lugand wrote a text for the occasion and read it to us. We remember that as a child, at first reading, we could already predict humiliation or success. For now, it bodes well. We scrape at full speed. We are surprised to see how much it crystallizes. It’s a favorite place for all French people. We become again for an afternoon, Clotaire Aignan, little Nicolas... The competitive one who affects false light, the one who never resists a good word... As for us, we are tempted to look up when the pace slows down.
