Last weekend's summer weather is a distant memory. Rain and wind are returning to the skies of France this week.

The French got a taste of summer on Saturday April 13. With more than 30°C in the south and an average temperature of 17.8°C, France recorded its hottest day observed before April 15. Change of tone this Monday, however, where the rain makes a comeback. Three departments in the north of the country, Somme, Pas-de-Calais and Nord, are also on orange alert for a risk of violent winds. Throughout France, temperatures will drop over the week. Temperatures in the northeastern quarter could even be 4 to 6°C below the averages for mid-April. It will be possible to observe light frosts in the morning. The risk of morning frost is not abnormal for the season, but the mild conditions of winter and the warm temperatures of early spring hastened the flowering of plants. A new episode of frost could therefore be harmful for agriculture.
