Weather outbreak in Germany: Tornado-like storms devastate entire places – “We’ve never experienced anything like this before”. Strong gusts of wind caused devastation on Thursday (April 4).
In some parts of Germany, eyewitnesses reported a rush of wind that is common for tornadoes. Neither the authorities nor the DWD could officially confirm that the violent storms were a tornado. The wind gusts reported from many places would suggest such a weather phenomenon, which, however, rarely occurs in Germany.
