Three armed men opened fire with automatic weapons this Thursday morning on several vehicles, near a settlement in the occupied West Bank near Jerusalem. At least one person was killed and eight others were shot and injured in an attack described as “terrorist” by Israeli police.
The West Bank has been the scene of frequent attacks perpetrated by Palestinians against Israelis, and almost daily raids by the Israeli army, often deadly. Violence was already on the rise in the West Bank and has only intensified since the start of the Gaza war on October 7.
