The Airports Council International World has just revealed the ranking of the 10 busiest airports in the world in 2023. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport retains its number 1 spot, with more than 104 million passengers.

Tokyo-Haneda has gained 11 places in one year. Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airport narrowly misses entry into the Top 10. The top ten airports alone in this ranking represent 10% of global traffic, even experiencing an increase of 0.7% compared to 2019. As a reminder, the ranking is based on data collected from more than 2,600 airports across more than 180 countries, spread across 180,000 miles of airspace. It was established by the ACI World and based on information collected from over 180 airports and more than 60,000 passengers. The number of passengers in 20 23 rose to nearly 8.5 billion, demonstrating a strong recovery to levels almost comparable (93.8%) to those observed before the Covid-19 pandemic.
