Spain already recycles 86% of the materials used to produce solar energy. Wind turbines have a useful life of 20 to 25 years.

Six new blade recycling projects will be underway, in principle, within two years. Until 2030, Spain will generate about 10,000 tons per year of blades and other elements of wind turbines, which will even contribute to recycling in other European markets, says Joan Groizard, general director of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), Ministry for the Ecological Transition.
