Centella asiatica or pennywort is a climbing herbaceous plant of the Apiaceae family. It is native to Sri Lanka, Madagascar and some areas of South Africa.

It was used in traditional medicine in China and India, especially for the healing of wounds. It can be used in various formats, such as gels, soaps, creams or poultices. For external use, natural poultice or plasters are recommended. The plant can also be used to reduce cellulite with massage.
