When “bad girls” were locked up in Cadillac, the first prison for women. They had aborted, run away, loved women or given birth to a child out of wedlock.

For 130 years, the Château de Cadillac, in Gironde, aa aa was aa prison for bad girls. The astonishing massive door which closes the King's room is a clue: a window, a small opening surrounded by bars, reminds us that the room, now restored to its former splendor, served as dormitories for around sixty inmates.
