Vélez Sarsfield has separated the four players reported for sexual abuse from the squad. A 24-year-old sports journalist said she was invited to the hotel where the delegation was staying and that she was abused in the room "without any consent" The four Vélez footballers involved in the case are Sebastián Sosa, Braian Cufré, Abiel Osorio and José Ignacio Florentín.
Sosa is the most senior of the four, with a past in Boca, Independiente and the Uruguayan National Team.
