Javier Altamirano collapsed during Estudiantes' match against Boca. The 24-year-old arrived at the La Plata club last August.
He had spent his entire career in Huachipato. Last year he debuted in the Chilean national team. He lives in Argentina with his wife, who is pregnant. The rest of his family is in Chile. The match was suspended by decision of referee Fernando Echenique. He was taken to Platense Medical Institute, where he continued to be treated.
