Mark Dyer was Charles III's escort and tutor to Princes William and Enrique. Dyer, 56, protected and cared for them after the untimely death of her mother, Princess Diana, in 1997.

The two brothers are deeply estranged, especially since Enrique's incendiary memoirs came to light. The former Welsh Guards officer was previously the king's equerry in the 1990s. He successfully established and ran a chain of pubs and eight years later sold them for more than £10 million – €11.7 million.
