A Facebook page called “Transport Map in Reims’’ has been circulating since April 2. The page offers a Grand R card for free travel for six months on the Reims transport network.
Grand Reims Mobilités confirms that this is fraudulent content of which it is absolutely not the origin. The same method of operation had targeted other cities such as Bordeaux and Nice last February and March. In both cases, a page entitled ‘Transport Card’ appeared on Facebook. The account offered a card valid for 1 year at €2.35! The daily Nice-Matin also reported this same style of scam last March. This then concerned the transport network of the Nice metropolis with a competition also allowing you to win a free transport card. In the meantime, the scammer continues to operate and systematically deletes comments warning about this fraudulent ad. A complaint was also filed but Facebook has still not deleted the page, so beware of those who wander into it.
