"Wines and walks" is the new tourism promotion project, financed by the Ministry of Tourism with an investment of approximately one million and 700 thousand euros. It will lead to the implementation of interventions along the routes of the religious paths of San Francesco, San Benedetto and Via Lauretana.

The Regions involved are now uniting to promote slow tourism and their food and wine excellences. A project that comes after the great success of "Cammini Aperti", the most important national event dedicated to walking, with 42 excursions held throughout Italy, thanks to a joint promotion strategy of all areas of the country. The details of the new initiative were illustrated inside the Palaexpo where Vinitaly is held, in the presence of the various institutional representatives of the regions involved. "Umbria together with the others - explained Paola Agabiti, regional councilor for tourism - enhance a new synergy, to promote the agri-food excellence of the different territories which can be slowly appreciated along the Via di San Francis"
