Winner of the Heritage Loto, the Manoir de Pré sees its outbuildings reborn in Eure-et-Loir. Like a mikado, the craftsmen removed one by one the elements of the building dating from the Middle Ages.

Dendrochronology, the study of the dating of wooden frames, attests to construction in 1535. The wood needed for the restoration is felled in an inaccessible forest. The logging is carried out by animal traction, with three Percheron horses piloted by Christine Sallé.
