Winter hurrah in Austria: Deep “Olga” brings new snow and colder weather. According to the meteorological service GeoSphere Austria, a stormy westerly current was responsible for the recently exceptionally high temperatures.

On Thursday night (February 8th), precipitation will spread in the north of the country, coming from Germany and the Czech Republic. On Friday (February 9th) a partly stormy southerly current will take hold, especially in the Alpine region and in the south. On Saturday (February 10th) it can even get up to 20 degrees in some areas, according to the ORF.
