By 2029 41% of companies will fire more staff to replace them with AI platforms. Generative artificial intelligence has on the one hand amplified the possibility of eliminating repetitive activities, but on the other has also caused an increase in fear of making some jobs obsolete.

Adecco interviewed companies in the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Canada, Australia and Singapore. Sectors covered include defence, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, industry and logistics. “Almost all jobs will be affected by artificial intelligence in one way or another,” says the company’s Chief Executive Denis Machuel.
