Wizz, a Tinder-like app aimed at young people, removed from Apple and Google stores. The measures were taken after the National Center on Sexual Exploitation raised concerns about alleged sexual extortion scams occurring on the site.
A Wizz spokesperson said the recent event in Miami was “a success” and showed “how our app helps create meaningful relationships between young people.” The app has been used by people to find and connect with young users in “ financial sextortion ” scams, according to a study.
