Woman dies during Brazilian butt lift performed by Miami doctor without permission to operate, lawsuit claims. Erica Russell, 33, a mother of five from Tennessee, traveled to have her cosmetic surgery done at Seduction Cosmetic Center in Coral Gables in 2021.
During surgery, her doctor, John Sampson, allegedly pierced her liver, bladder and intestines with a cannula, a tube used primarily to remove fluid from the body. Since September 2022, Sampson has been “permanently restricted from performing gluteal fat grafting procedures”
