A 58-year-old worker fell at a building site in Piacenza and died Thursday. It is the latest in a spate of workplace deaths over which trade unions protested nationwide Wednesday.

Seven workers were killed in an explosion at a hydroelectric power station near Bologna Tuesday. The building site was on the outskirts of the Emilia-Romagnacity. The worker is believed to have fallen in a structural collapse at the large site. The cause of death is not yet known, but it is thought to have been caused by a fall at the building site, which is located on the edge of the town of Emilia Romagnacity, near the city of Milan. The death is being treated as an accident by the local coroner.
