Yair Golan is the former deputy chief of staff and the leading candidate for the leadership of the Labor Party. He has a sharp criticism of the conduct of the war and the negotiations for the return of the abductees, of Prime Minister Netanyahu, and of his partners in the war cabinet, Gantz and Eisenkot, who continue to cooperate with him.

In an interview with his weekend, he states: "We are stuck, no goals" and calls for increased the protest against the government until it is overthrown. "These people are not able to manage some kind of process of restoring Israeli society, restoring security, restoring the economy, so go home now. Everything else is not interesting," he says. "I can't understand why Gantz remains in the government," says Golan. "If he had brought a hostage deal, I would have understood," Golan says of the chairman of the state camp. "What I see now is just complete lawlessness. This whole government is an illusion government," he adds.
