Yolanda Díaz met with Pope Francis for the second time in two years in a meeting of more than an hour. The pair discussed a possible visit by the Pontiff to the Canary Islands to personally attend to the migration crisis.

“I am optimistic, hope does not disappoint,” she noted. Both agreed on the need to implement new measures in the labor market that dignify it. ‘He has written about the need for time of life, time for rest and time for work (…). This is defended by Pope Francis,’ she said.
