Last week, a white march was organized in Viry-Châtillon in tribute to Shemseddine, who was lynched for having spoken to a young girl. This drama which leaves an entire family in mourning also questions the excesses of a part of the youth who are both ultra-connected and obscurantist.

The 15-year-old was beaten up on April 4 near his college. He exchanged intimate conversations with a girl through messages. Five people, including two siblings, feared for the reputation of their sister and that of their family, according to the victim's mother. Nearly 2,000 people gathered around the family, wearing white T-shirts, white roses, and white balloons. The young boy's funeral was held in the city last Friday, a few days after the white march.
