363 agents of the city of Yvelines will receive exceptional aid which should be paid on the salary for the month of April. The bonus will range between 200 and 300 euros depending on salaries.

An envelope of almost 100,000 euros was released by the municipality for this spring bonus. It was encouraged by the government with the aim of offsetting the increase in the cost of living for the lowest paid public officials. A decree of October 2023 also allows municipalities to pay it to their agents, without it being obligatory. By releasing this aid, Limay is following in the footsteps of Sartrouville. The second city in the department has also just paid a bonus to some of its 900 employees to meet the costs of living... but also to retain the loyalty of local residents. Like other economic sectors, municipalities are starting to experience recruitment difficulties. And the low salaries awarded in the public service do not help attract candidates. It is hoped that the bonus will help attract and retain candidates.
