Robinho was sentenced to nine years in prison for gang rape in 2013. Supreme Court in Brasilia ruled on Wednesday that he will serve his sentence.
Robinho will spend at least 10 days in a temporary detention cell alone. He will then be transferred to the shared housing wing inside Punta Forca Prison (P2) The cell will be 8 square meters in size, a cell that includes one small bed, a sink and a toilet built into the floor. All inmates in the prison are required to wear a uniform.
