Ski racer Manuel Schmid has announced the end of his career. The 30-year-old made his debut in the Alpine World Cup in December 2017.

Injuries have repeatedly bothered him, now they are forcing him to end his active career. Schmid will "certainly remain loyal to skiing, which means so much to me," announced the downhill specialist. His brother Alexander recently tore his cruciate ligament. In the meantime, however, the 2023 ski world champion has already shown up after an operation.
