André Boniface, the emblematic three-quarter center of the XV of France, passed away this Monday at the age of 89. He died following a heart attack in Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) on the borders of a South-West that he never left.
He left behind him, much more than a track record or exploits, a certain idea of absolutes and panache. He served as a light, a guide, a reference. He was one of the greatest. One of the most beautiful.
