Ron Beck, a 16-year-old Haifa youth, is not afraid of obstacles, even if it is water in temperatures of minus 12 degrees Celsius. The organizers of the Special Olympics triathlon European Open have announced that the swimming part of the competition may be cancelled because water temperatures in the Danube Canal in Szamorín, Slovakia, have dropped below 12°C.
He came out second from the water and overcame a small mishap in taking off his suit between swimming and running and from there it was a dominant performance.
