2024 Paralympic Games: no anthems, flags or medal tables for Russians and Belarusians. Athletes from Russia and Belarus will compete as neutral Paralympics athletes in uniforms bearing no national colors.
The IPC voted against continuing the total ban on these countries, imposed after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Neutral athletes will not participate in the opening ceremony and will not have a flag bearer during the closing ceremony. The athletes will be independently verified to ensure they are not linked to the military and did not support the war in Ukraine.
