Sergio Roberto and Andreas Christensen were among the 11 players under threat of a suspension in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain. Barcelona captain Roberto will not be able to make his return in the semi-final if his team manages to eliminate PSG.

PSG defender Achraf Hakimi will return from suspension. Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Ferran Torres and João Félix will still be on borrowed time at the Montjuïc stadium. For Paris, Lucas Hernandez, Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte and Vitinha will also be threatened with suspension for possible qualification to the next round. One yellow card too many, which would deprive them of a potential semi-finals against Borussia Dortmund or Atlético de Madrid. As stipulated in UEFA regulations, yellow cards are reset from the semis onwards. A rule which does not prevent players from being suspended in the event of a third warning obtained during the quarter-finals.
